This is the "James Birch Grenoside Cup" which was kindly donated by the Birch family. This cup is 140 years old and was won by James Birch by winning The Grenoside Steeplechase 3 times running and so got to keep it!   Alan Birch presented the Trophy to Darren Smithers will be the first name engraved on the cup since the cup has been resilvered, the cup will be presented every year to the Chase winner.
